Anyone know where to find information like this for engines? Specifically looking for measurements for my gen 2 LT1 because I want to do some modeling in Solidworks, but that isn’t possible if I do not know the dimensions to start with.
I am specifically looking to model an intake manifold so I would need head info too etc and I am hoping to find these measurements already there because I really do not want to tear my engine apart.

I am going to go ahead and say this is going to probably be extremely difficult to find unless someone else measured them and posted them to the internet. M anufacturers post next to no engineering/dimensional drawings for public viewing. Hell, finding a good electrical schematic from a manufacturer can be a real pain.

Yeah, I am more hoping either some one has posted such info or maybe some aftermarket company has shared info.

Came here for this, left satisfied.
In my work there are these alleged “Enterprise Architects” that are supposed to produce and have all manner of drawings and schematics. The next time I go to an EA and get something that’s not wildly out of date/totally inaccurate, it will be the first time.
Have you tried Chilton’s?

If you know someone who is a SEMA member manufacturer, they can request prints for specific part numbers. Sometimes they just give you a 3D model.

Not Chilton’s, but I’ve used the Haynes ones before, it was just okay . I just hate constantly flipping pages to trace something. I want a giant PDF I can pull up on a computer or phone and just trace on one page.

Huh, you know I have the factory service manuals and a Haynes , I should look in them.

Theres places like GrabCAD that could help. I just searched chevy v8 because I dont what the gen 2 is, but:
https://grabcad.com/library/sbc-18-degree-turbo-intake-with-intercooler-1
https://grabcad.com/library/chevy-ls3-6-2l-1
https://grabcad.com/library/mold-for-v8-intake-manifold-trinota-1
Im sure a more refined search or a similar site could get you on the right path.

You’re cooking to have to find somebody with a cmm and strip down a block.

I work for a company who is a SEMA member manufacturer and have access to these CAD models but it’s more complicated than simply requesting. The CAD info you are requesting has to be related to the aftermarket part that you are designing (can’t request engine CAD if you are designing a rear bumper etc.) , and sharing that info outside of your organization is a big no no.

Gen 2 would be 90's LT1 as in it is a chevy 350, but the second generation of the C hevy 35 0 so the LT1, LT4, LT5, and L99
